Frequently asked questions

Before your first visit.

What happens at the first appointment?

Your symptoms, psychiatric and medical history, medications, and treatment goals are reviewed to help determine an individualized plan.

Do you accept insurance?

Coverage depends on your specific plan and current participation. Please call 786-542-5766 to verify before scheduling.

What should I bring?

Bring a photo ID, insurance information if applicable, your medication list, and relevant medical or psychiatric records when available.

Do you provide emergency care?

No. If you or someone else may be in immediate danger, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department. In the U.S., you can also call or text 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.

How long is an appointment?

Initial evaluations are longer than follow-up visits so there is time for a full history. The office can confirm expected length when you schedule.

Do you see children or adolescents?

The practice focuses on adult psychiatric care. Call the office to ask about a specific situation.
